Radio Broadcast Log Of:
Tales Of The Texas Rangers

One of the best attempts of any drama detective program, Tales Of The Texas Rangers is a mirror to the wildly successful Dragnet series, also on NBC.  Each week, cases were seen through the eyes of a centralized character.  That character, Ranger Jase Pearson, takes the listener through each step of the crime and the building of each clue to the eventual solution of the case.

The ending of each broadcast also picked up the familiar closing of Dragnet, the conviction of the guilty and their sentence under the law.  There was one minor addition.  Each week a bit of Ranger history (true or preceived) ended the broadcast.  There was even a Rangers prayer that was recited at the end of the 50th program.  Captain M.T. "Lone Wolf" Gonzaullas, a Texas Ranger himself, was the technical advisor to the series that was based on actual case files of the Texas Rangers.
