This is one of the few television programs that transferred to radio. First in books and the Sunday comics strips, the series ended up on television over the CBS network beginning on 10/02/50. The story line takes place in the year 2352, 400 years into the future. Eventually, the series left CBS television and was seen next on ABC (when the radio series began), then NBC, and finally ending up on the Dumont television network. The last video broadcast of this program was on 06/25/55.
The series was based on a book, “Space Cadet,” by Robert A. Heinlein.
