The Hermit's Cave

This series was first heard over WJR radio in Detroit, MI beginning about 1935.  It was syndicated on disc.  The old hermit was played over the years by John Kent, Charles Penman, Toby Grimmer, Klock Ryder and Mel Johnson.  Most of the cast members belonged to "The Mummers," a Detroit radio acting group.  Two particular voices, Paul Hughes and Rollon Parker, were known to millions who listened to The Green Hornet and The Lone Ranger.

Each of the following broadcasts are 30 minutes in length unless otherwise noted.
